GENEVIEVE COX

When not in a canoe on a river or backpacking somewhere in the woods or desert, Genevieve can be found doing development work for Renewal in the Wilderness (a non-profit organization dedicated to renewing the spirit of social justice workers, caregivers, and faith leaders), teaching sociology classes part-time for Southern Maine Community College, slinging pizza at Flatbread’s in Portland, or at a Board of Directors meeting for Speak About It (a non-profit organization dedicated to sexual violence prevention). She has a Ph.D. in sociology, focusing on urban, community, and environmental issues and a cattle dog named Opal who has a Ph.D. in being awesome.
